Cuddly Animal How to properly warm stuffed toys from the series?
If you want to use it warm, remove the inner pillow and warm only the pillow. * Please note that the outer part of the stuffed animal cannot be heated.
▪ Pillows filled with cherry or grape seeds
Remove the pillow from the zipper on the stuffed animal's stomach and place it in the microwave or oven. The pillow can be microwaved up to 600W for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or In a 75 degree oven Warm the pillow for 3 to 5 minutes. Please be careful, especially with newborns, as excessive heat can cause burns or overheating. The pillow is made of natural materials and may burn if overheated. Please test it little by little at first, watching the condition. Cherry or grape seeds retain heat in their cores, keeping you warm for a long time.
▪ Spelt Husk Pillow
Remove the pillow from the zipper on the stuffed toy's belly . Heat in a 50°C oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Spelt husk is the husk of spelt, an ancient grain that is the ancestor of bread wheat. Unlike cherry or grape pits, spelt husks retain heat better than other husks, so they can be heated on a heater or tiled stove. Avoid using a microwave as they may burn. Spelt husk pillows heat the air between the husks, providing a gentle warmth, especially when hugging them.
Why do stuffed toys get fuzzy when you first start using them?
After completing all production steps, each plush toy is sprayed with compressed air and then brushed and vacuumed. However, please note that since only natural fibers are used, it is impossible to completely remove loose fibers. Plush toys made with white fabric are not dyed, bleached, or otherwise processed; they are simply washed after weaving. While the coloring of other colored fabrics helps particles stick firmly, white plush toys are only washed, so lint may fall off initially. The lint will disappear with use, but it can be removed by absorbing it with a vacuum or beating it outdoors. Because SENGER plush toys are made with natural cotton, lint is inevitable at first, but rest assured that it is unprocessed natural fiber.
The correct way to wash stuffed toys ?
If your plush gets dirty, first brush off any coarse dirt. Wash gently as we only use the highest quality natural fibers, no polyester. As SENGER stuffed animals are made from pure wool from the Eifel region, we recommend hand washing them with a mild detergent or detergent for wool. Please refrain from using a washing machine or tumble drying as this may cause fraying or shrinkage. Prepare plenty of lukewarm water and gently press the garment with a small amount of wool detergent. When washing, do not scrub, brush or over-spin. After washing, wring out gently and towel dry. The damp smell that is characteristic of wool will disappear as it dries. When drying, turning the stuffed animal over periodically will help it dry faster. Cotton plush toys can be washed by hand or in the washing machine on a delicate cycle using mild detergent. Please note that cotton will begin to clump if you tumble dry it. As it is a natural fiber, small clumps may occur even when hand-washing.
What causes color fading after washing?
There are two methods used to dye the fabric: traditional dyeing, which is mainly used for light colors, and reactive dyeing, which is mainly used for dark colors. With reactive dyeing, we first bleach the fabric with a non-chlorine bleach before dyeing, which makes the dye darker and longer-lasting. Avoid using fabric softener on fabrics dyed with either method. All dyes used are free of lead and other harmful additives, and azo dyes are generally not used. Do not use as a By heat-treating the dye and fabric, the dye is more strongly absorbed into the fibers. If you notice brown discoloration after washing, especially on a white stuffed animal, it may have been left in water for too long or not wrung out properly after washing. there is. Also, if you leave it wet for a long time, the dye will seep out of the warp threads in the colored parts and transfer to the white parts, so please be careful. If the color transfers, washing it again may improve the situation.
Why do stuffed toys smell? ?
Most of SENGER 's products are produced in the low-altitude mountainous region that stretches from western Germany to eastern Belgium. It is made from organically grown wool sourced from free-ranging shepherds in the Eifel. In addition to being a natural fiber that does not contain substances harmful to the environment, sheep's wool has several other benefits. It removes pollutants from the air and also regulates temperature and absorbs moisture. The smell of wool comes from lanolin, a natural oil in wool that protects against stains and makes it waterproof. It also protects each individual wool strand from drying and damage, stabilizes the filling, and makes the blanket feel soft to the touch. The smell will go away after a while, but it will never go away completely. The smell will be strong at first, especially after washing, but once it dries, The smell will disappear again. If the smell bothers you, dry the stuffed toy thoroughly and expose it to fresh air. It also helps to place it in the freezer for a few hours. However, be careful not to put it in the freezer while it is still wet.
